Dave Wagenheim
Dave has been an observer in the North Pacific Groundfish Observer Program for six years. Early on he saw a great need for more communication among observers and in 2001 began to encourage exchange among observers in Alaska as well as internationally, through an online forum called ObserverNet.org. The site has evolved into a great tool for discussing important observer issues and various fisheries management topics. In 2004, Dave had the privilege of presenting ObserverNet to an international audience at the 4th International Fisheries Observer Conference in Sydney, Australia. His presentation was at the forefront of one of the most important themes at the conference, increasing communication among observer programs in order to share each others\' pitfalls and successes.
